Tell us about your business journey

My business journey starts about 10 years ago. Due to my husband's job nature i.e. 100% travelling it was hard for me to go out and work as with two little kids and all alone in foregin country. So, I did medical transcription and medical coding course and start working free from home for about 6 months as I was lacking experience. After 6 months I worked 6 months more for peanuts. However, this 1 year gave me much needed experiece and confidence to work from home. As I was searching better home based opportunity, I gather lot of infotmation on home based work opportunities. That is how my website https://www.helpwelp.com was born. My website features worldwide, legitimate, work from home jobs.

What motivated you to become a Skillpreneur?

It is mom who motivated me to become Skillpreneur. She started her home based business along with my sister in law when she turned 60 years of age.

How did you know when you had the right idea?

As I was working from home I found out there was lot of ladies like me who are educated but did not go out and work for one or the other reason. They also wanted to find a job which is legitimate, home based and give them flexibility. That is how I decided to start my website as I had extensive information regarding home based employment and my website was born.

What is your favorite aspect of being a Skillpreneur?

Helping worldwide moms like me to help find legitimate home based employment and best part of it is that it is totally free.

Share any interesting experience after becoming a Skillpreneur.

I was selected for best 50 women entrepreneur for SheThePeople.TV in India for 2019. As I did not get the award, got selected in best 50 from all over the India gave me confidence that my efforts are being appreciated.

What makes your business unique?

It is giving me flexibility to work from anywhere in the world as well as whenever I want. I just need good laptop and good internet connection.

What Drives You to Keep Going When It's Really Tough?

My kids, yes definately my kids especially my daughter who helped me in whatever way she can since she was just 4 years old. I wanted to teach her you have to work and do not give up whatever situation you are in and I hope I have succeeded in my efforts.

What are some of the mistakes you wished you could've avoided?

I needed more on the job training to learn all aspect of running successful business. I should have work outside the home.

How do you achieve work-life balance?

I schedule my work around my kids schedule. My work gives me that flexibility. I am own boss so I do not need to answer anybody.

What advice would you give someone who is interested in starting their own business?

Important advice I would like to give is that please take on the job training before starting any business.
